Mining
Most mines are operated in remote locations, responsible for providing their own infrastructure, ablution facilities, staff accommodation and catering.
BioTech Waters wide range of products have several applications in the mining industry. Applications include but are not limited to; urinals, septic tanks, grease traps, wastewater, ponds & lagoons and oil and hydrocarbon remediation.
Our biological technology is unrivalled in the mining industry in terms of the treatment of mine wastewater. Treatment does not include the need for massive capital expenditure or additional machinery. Our unique technology allows us to treat the entire body of water in a non-invasive manner by aggressively digesting mine water contaminants. We address the source of the problem and do not simply cover up the symptoms. The treatment process will provide significant reductions of Suspended Solids, Dissolved Solids and Acidity which are (in many cases) initial indicators of the quality of the water. The major by-product of our technology is H2O (water) and as such represents a truly sustainable solution in an industry which is often scrutinised in terms of sustainable environmental practises.
BioTech Water can also assist in cleaning up oil and fuel spills. Our product Eco-H is a concentrated broad spectrum hydrocarbon degrader containing a consortium blend of our primary core bacterial strains, augmented by additional non-pathogenic strains of specifically chosen bacteria and fungi, known for their propensity to degrade various hydrocarbons.
Eco-H will also rapidly degrade the major components of diesel, specifically benzene, toluene, xylene, naphthalene, methyl naphthalene, anthracene and C10 to C17. The product is the premier choice for soil remediation applications such as coal tar, crude oil and mixtures of light and heavy oil fractions. Our proprietary formula also successfully degrades alcohols, ketones, and phthalates, and will also mitigate harmful PAH’s.
